Q4 2020 Performance of Top Word Puzzle iOS Games in Latin America

As the year 2020 wrapped up, the word puzzle game category saw interesting trends in Latin America on the iOS platform. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a snapshot of how these brain-teasing favorites fared during the fourth quarter.

Fugo's Words of Wonders: Crossword showed a promising increase in downloads, rising from 11K in late September to over 21K by the end of December. Weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 186K in late September before closing the year with roughly 177K.

Word Connect ¤ by ZenLife Games Pte. Ltd. also experienced an upward trajectory in downloads, more than doubling from 8.5K to over 13K in the same period. Revenue peaked at $1.6K in the last week of December, and the weekly active users saw a high of 102K in late October.

Scopely, Inc.'s Scrabble® GO - New Word Game had a quieter quarter, with downloads dipping to 1K in November and then rebounding to 2.7K by year-end. The weekly active users saw a modest increase from 12K to 12K from start to finish of the quarter.

Word Collect Word Puzzle Games from Super Lucky Games LLC displayed a sharp increase in downloads during October, with a peak of 23K, followed by a decline to 11K by the end of December. Weekly active users saw a significant rise in late October to 33K but tapered off to 17K by the close of the quarter.

Lastly, Fugo's second entry, Words of Wonders: Search, saw downloads decrease from 10K to 5.3K in mid-quarter, before rebounding to 8.5K. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, with a decrease mid-quarter before rising to 53K at the year's end.
